8-Day Ayahuasca For Awakening Retreat

We invite you to join us for an 8-day Ayahuasca retreat from January 8 – 15, 2026.

This retreat will be held at the Tantraya Center, and our group will be small to maximize individual attention for each participant. This is a chance for deep individual work, with a strong emphasis on practices designed to awaken the full potential of the medicine inside of ceremony and support the integration of all aspects of our higher selves into our daily lives.

Our work with the medicine is heavily influenced by the Tantric traditions. TAN means to expand, stretch. TRA means to liberate. AYA means the little death. So we expand and liberate through surrender and recognition, gaining realization in the after-death-like state. Before each ceremony, we do Tantric Puja, calling on allies, Gods, Goddesses, ancestors, and helpers from the plant and spirit realms to empower, heal, and liberate the spirit.

Our Shaman, Paul Diamond, is initiated into a multitude of lineages, and offers an unprecedented degree of spiritual and energetic protection, based on over 20 years training in the world’s wisdom traditions. When travelling in the inter-dimensional realms, it is necessary to have an experienced and knowledgeable guide. Safety is paramount when dealing with the unseen. Participants will experience a field of love, and a safe intimate space conducive for Kundalini awakening, deep realizations and liberation.

Throughout the retreat, we will focus on a specific set of practices taken from the Internal Energetic and Alchemical Traditions (Taoism, Tantra, Alchemy, and Shamanism) that are simple to learn yet far-reaching in their capacity to bring us to the highest levels of realization. We will be practicing these meditation exercises on a regular cycle to fully ground, activate, and energize these circuits.

We provide you with the tools, techniques, teachings and practices- as well as direct, immediate experience, that allow for deep, lasting change at every level of one’s being.

At Tantraya, we believe in continual evolution- not a fixed or static goal. We also recognize the need for all of our ‘bodies’- from the most subtle, to the physical, all need to be brought along at the same time on this road to evolution.

Thus, retreats are centered around practice, teachings and ceremony.

The teachings provide the ‘View’- the right way to understand the spiritual journey, and the medicine work.

The practices provide the ‘Framework’- the development of the energetic and spiritual bodies, as well as physical training, to provide a fundamentally sound environment for the activation and continual expansion of all the various energetics concerned with awakening.

Ceremony provides the direct experience of higher states of consciousness, and provides a window in which we can see directly the results of our practices, see where it is we are heading, and provide a substantial increase in fundamental Qi or Prana, such that we are able to sustain and maintain these higher conditions.

At Tantraya, whilst plant spirits and animal spirits are worked with to some degree, the main emphasis on a shamanic level, is firmly in the realm of Deities- Tantric deities, to be specific.

These Tantric deities bring the ceremonial space to a a very high level, and allow for the possibility of kundalini awakening, engagement with Deity, spontaneous self healing kriyas(spontaneous asanas, mudras, body postures etc), activation of latent psychic capacities, deep insight, real understanding, a deep and lasting compassion and, finally, Realization.
